Ni Hao!
On Monday, we started class with a check up and learning the new vocab for Chapter Seven on Addresses, and we also did a review on stuff we had learned in the past. We also learned about how if you use double negatives it forms a question...for example, you which means to have and meiyou which means to not have so when put together youmeiyou means the same thing as ma! It's pretty interesting that Chinese works like that, and learning things like that is actually my favorite part of learning different languages. You get to see the differences between languages and cultures, and what makes each one unique. While there is youmeiyou, there is also shibushi which means isn't it, and is the same thing when it forms a question.
Wednesday, we started off class with a review of the song Dui Bu Qi..and sang that for a while. Next we had a presentation on Zhongwen shu zi which means chinese numbers. We had a variety of questions presented to us here which allowed us to use our number skills and tested us to see how many of the numbers we actually knew. Next, we rehearsed an example of how it would sound if we were to check into a hotel and use some of the vocab from our lesson.
On Friday, we did some review as well. We also discussed our Final projects: Here is my final script for my project! The first part is the introduction, I will post it in PinYin, Hanzi, and then finally translate it to English.

As we are closing the term with only one full week left, we still have our final projects to finish up where we will be creating our own Youtube video thread. This is going to be really fun because it will be a cumilation of all of language we have learned thus far! Can't wait to see everyone's presentations!
